Senate Bill 235 is headed to Governor Strickland for his signature, and though weaker than the one that CCV submitted two years ago, it is a step in the right direction. Phil Burress says, “Now that sex businesses such as strip bars and pornography have been linked to human sexual slavery, we are hopeful that law enforcement will crack down and enforce the Community Defense Act (CDA). We are also hopeful that Ohio’s Obscenity Law 2907.32 will be enforced.” CDA requires that all sex businesses in Ohio close from midnight to 6 a.m. and prohibits touching between the dancers and patrons.
