Ohioans Need to Know: “Does Pro-People Mean Pro-Life?”

Statement from Citizens for Community Values President Aaron Baer

“Whenever I hear a politician speak in vague terms or try to skirt the issues, it raises serious concerns. That’s why Mike Gibbons’ quotes to the Associated Press on the “social issues” are so disconcerting. They leave Ohio families wondering: what does he mean?

It’s crucial that as soon as possible Mike Gibbons clarifies his vague statement. Does “pro-people” mean “pro-unborn people?”

  • Is he serious about saving the nearly 22,000 unborn children who lose their lives in Ohio to abortion every year?
  • Will he fight to ensure taxpayer dollars don’t flow to the abortion providers that are ending the lives of unborn people?
  • Will he support legislation to prohibit gruesome late term abortions at 20 weeks?

These issues are too important to leave unanswered: lives are on the line.”
