Thank You, Speaker Larry Householder!

Dear Speaker Larry Householder:

At public libraries throughout Ohio, activists are attempting to host Drag Queen events targeting children. Sometimes called “story hours,” or promoted as “training events” the occasions not only promote explicit sexual materials to minors, but perpetuate hyper-sexualized stereotypes of women.

These events are harmful, and are no place for children. And they certainly should not be promoted with taxpayer dollars.

You have displayed tremendous courage by speaking out for common sense and decency by opposing these events. Your letter to the Ohio Library Council, calling for them to cancel the Drag Queen event for kids in Newark was a powerful and thoughtful message.

Thank you for giving voice to millions of Ohioans!

Like you, we greatly value and respect our LGBT neighbors – recognizing that every Ohioan is made in the image of God.

We also recognize that it is wrong to sexualize children, and taxpayer resources should be stewarded wisely, not used to promote harmful and obscene materials to kids.

We are standing with you for our children and for our future. God bless you, and thank you for your service to our great state!

Sincerely,
