21st Century Patriots Wanted!

“America is great, because America is good” goes the quote famously attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville.  However, America can only be good when she trusts in the unfailing Providence of our Creator God, and keeps His statutes and commandments.  Our founders understood this vital foundation for our freedoms, and honored God in the crafting of our governing documents.

60th meme smrAmerica’s reliance on God has also been seen throughout history, from the first settlements in Jamestown and Plymouth, to men walking on the moon, to our national motto inscribed on our currency and our institutions:  “In God We Trust”.

Our founding documents grant every citizen the right to freedom of religion. In recent years, that fundamental right is being challenged, as is the constitutionality of prayer and references to God in the public square.  Lawsuits continue around the phrase “In God We Trust” as our national motto, especially regarding their display in public buildings, such as the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, courthouses, and schools.

As a matter of fact, this year marks the 60th Anniversary of the adoption of that motto.

In honor of that, and in recognition of the need to show a response to the forces that seek to take away our religious freedoms and our ability to acknowledge God in public, CCV is partnering with the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation in their “In God We Trust; Put It Up!” campaign.   Already over 1 million copies of our national motto have been proudly displayed by 21st Century American patriots.  You can join your fellow patriots who are affirming their trust in God – and the freedom to proclaim it – by displaying this removable 4″x 5″ window decal in your home, office or vehicle.

Put It Up!” Initiative is an effective strategy to protect and preserve our First Amendment right to religious liberty, a freedom that is being threatened through a well-organized and well-funded effort to remove all vestige of God from the public domain in America.

The House of Representatives has reaffirmed “In God We Trust” as our national motto by a landslide vote of 396 to 9 and is encouraging its display in public buildings throughout America. The Congressional reaffirmation of “In God We Trust” is a move that stands on the foundation set by the Founding Fathers, who established this nation on the belief that we have certain unalienable rights that are endowed by our Creator.
