Play Golf with CCV and Cincinnati Sports Greats

We are only 15 days away from the 27th Annual CCV Golf Classic on September 9th. There are still foursomes and sponsorships available.

We are excited to announce that several Cincinnati Sports Greats will be joining us for the outing, including Bengals’ greats Jim Breech and Robert Jackson and basketball legend George Wilson:

Jim Breech:

In his 14 year NFL career, kicker Jim Breech scored 1,246 total points, holds the Bengals franchise record for points 1,152 points, and led the AFC in scoring in 1987. He kicked 3 field goals in the legendary Super Bowl XXIII and may have become the NFL’s first kicker to win Super Bowl MVP honors if not for an ensuing game winning drive by Joe Montana and the 49ers.  A member of the University of California Athletic Hall of Fame, Jim is a longtime friend of CCV and has been a beloved staple at the CCV Celebrity Golf Classic for the event’s 27 years.

Robert Jackson:

After playing his college football at Central Michigan University, Robert Jackson was drafted by the Bengals in 1981. He played all of his 7 NFL seasons with the Bengals. Known as a hard-hitting playmaker as a free safety, Jackson totaled 15 career interceptions, 2 of which he returned for touchdowns. In 2009, he was inducted into the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame.

George Wilson:

Not many players in basketball history can say they were a high school All-American, an NCAA Champion, a 7 year NBA Veteran, and an Olympic Gold Medalist. George Wilson accomplished just that. After leading the University of Cincinnati to back to back NCAA Title Game appearances (including a championship in 1962), Wilson was a member of the 1964 U.S. Olympic Team, which won gold in Tokyo. He followed that up with a 7 year NBA career. An amazing athlete, George has also competed in the Senior Olympics in basketball, golf, and horseshoes.
