From Decadence to Decency: The Northern Kentucky Story is a documentary video that tells the story of how Northern Kentucky cleaned up it’s “sin-city” image of the 50’s and 60’s to become one of the most progressive, family-friendly Tri-state communities of today.    After hearing a sermon of the vices plaguing Newport and Covington, Mr. Chris Siefried – a Northern Kentucky postman – decided to get involved and make a positive difference.

Mr. Siefried and other determined citizens started to expose the political corruption caused by the pornography, strip bar and gambling industries in Northern Kentucky.  It took well over a decade but the committed citizens, led by the “Committee of 500” took back their communities from the choke hold of vice mongers and corrupt public officials.  They helped turn Northern Kentucky from decadence to decency, to one of the brightest spots in the nation.
