The Rundown: No one else is going to do it

“The Rundown” is a new weekly email from CCV President Aaron Baer with a short note on culture, “can’t-miss” news and the latest updates from CCV.

We’re counting on you

I want to share something that’s weighing on me quite a bit right now.

I just saw this story out of Olmstead Falls. According to reports, they are preparing to become the 17th Ohio city to pass a law that requires businesses and potentially ministries to participate in gay marriages and allow men in women’s restrooms and locker rooms.

These laws are dangerous.

CCV has made it clear to state lawmakers that we’ll do everything we can to stop one of these laws from being passed statewide.

But the organizations pushing these laws have virtually unlimited resources, and fighting them off city by city is like playing whack-a-mole.

Many times, this is where I would ask you to donate to CCV – because it’s true – we’re planning on growing to address these challenges. But that’s not what this note is about.

I want to ask you to pray about what YOU can do about this problem. If you’ve felt a call to run for office, consider this your invitation. Or if you know of a problem in your town and you want to take it on, drop me a note and we’ll do what we can to help.

Some people will say that standing up for religious freedom is a lost cause. But it’s amazing to see what God can do through the actions of the faithful.

Don’t miss these stories…
Here’s another thing you can do if you want to get involved.
If you live in Cleveland or Columbus, join us on Friday as we rally outside Sherrod Brown’s offices, calling on him to #ConfirmGorsuch

We had a great turnout at the Cincinnati Rally
