Silence is Acceptance

This is a First Amendment issue

“Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceable to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

“We the people” are exercising our First Amendment right to “petition the government for a redress of grievances.”  We are exercising our “freedom of speech” to speak out against the sale of hard core pornography and businesses that engage in activities that are not protected by the First Amendment.

  • We ask that law enforcement officials do everything possible to protect our communities, particularly with respect to the enforcement of our federal and state obscenity laws.
  • We appeal to our law enforcement officials to protect our men, women, children and families from this business and materials, which violate the decency standards of many communities, which threaten the moral fabric of our society.
  • We request that law enforcement officials make this problem a priority and we pledge to stand behind them as they fulfill the oath of office they have taken to uphold the laws governing our communities.
  • We also pledge, when possible, not to do business with any establishment that in our opinion harms our communities.
