Citizen Involvement is the Key to Change
Volunteers, the Strength of CCV
The important work of CCV is accomplished through the commitment and efforts of concerned citizens who have a desire to uphold the quality of life in our community.
Our volunteers are drawn from a diversity of backgrounds – urban, suburban and rural areas, varied ethnic origins, and countless churches, organizations and businesses in Greater Cincinnati. We are unified by our belief in traditional values and our commitment to high community standards.
How YOU can get Involved
The two greatest enemies of high community standards are complacency and silence. If we are to hold the ground we have taken, constant vigilance must be maintained.
There are many opportunities for involvement with CCV. Every citizen who cares about maintaining traditional values and high standards in our community is encouraged to join those already united in voice and action on those vital issues that negatively affect and harm our families.
Citizens in Action – Local citizens and leaders, under CCV’s guidance, are active in the southwest Ohio counties of Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, and Warren, the Northern Kentucky counties of Boone, Campbell, Kenton, Gallatin, Grant, and Pendleton, and the southeast Indiana counties of Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, and Switzerland. These local citizens and leaders can be highly effective in addressing issues that affect their particular communities.
Task Forces – Meeting several very specific needs in the community, CCV’s task forces – Hard-Core Pornography, Soft-Core Pornography, Material Harmful to Children, Indecent Broadcasting, Cable and Satellite, Victim Assistance, and Equal Rights Not Special Rights – monitor and research the prevalence of danger or indecency in these areas and are ready to take action when necessary.
Support Teams – Volunteers, presenting a unified voice and concerted effort, join forces in letter-writing projects, as a church or civic group contact person, on a research and survey team, on an intercessory prayer team, promoting our speakers bureau, financially supporting the work of CCV and even on volunteer office support teams.
Contributors – The operations of CCV are supported entirely by contributions from a broad base of individuals, families, churches, organizations and businesses that share CCV’s vision. CCV is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation. Contributions are tax deductible.
