Seeking the Good of Our Neighbor, February 2026

As the legislature resumes full activity, the CCV Policy team is working to move several key bills across the finish line. This effort will build on our existing relationships, continued engagement with lawmakers, and strategic events that reinforce why a family-first approach is essential on a number of important issues.

Before diving into our current legislative priorities, we want to extend our sincere thanks to Senate and House leadership for helping secure funding for the Ohio Adolescent Health Centers (OAHC). Although a two-year funding plan for OAHC was included in this year’s budget, final administrative steps delayed payments and created uncertainty. After working closely with leadership, we were able to ensure this funding was secured once again. These resources will support multiple healthy-living programs for youth across the state through the work of this organization.

This week also includes testimony on two important issues affecting Ohio’s youth: the Success Sequence and fetal development instruction. Our Success Sequence legislation, SB156, has already passed the Senate and is now scheduled for a proponent hearing in the House Education Committee. Additionally, we are supporting legislation that would require fetal development instruction in schools—providing students with age-appropriate education on the miracle of human development and complementing existing curricula our schools currently teach. This week includes one of two bills which we are supporting that both accomplish adding a fetal development curriculum into the education of our students.

As the 136th General Assembly approaches the end of its session, we ask our supporters to continue praying for the success of Godly legislation and key initiatives at our Statehouse. While we are not able to share specific details at this time, our team is working around the clock to advance legislation addressing gambling reform, protecting private spaces for women, and safeguarding children—while upholding the God-given authority of parents in their lives.

2 Corinthians 1:10-11 (ESV)

He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again. You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.
