Char Bonsignore named Senior Advancement Director, Sarah Schifflet named Advancement Officer
COLUMBUS—Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) is pleased to announce two new members of its Advancement team: Char Bonsignore as Senior Advancement Director and Sarah Shifflet as Advancement Officer.
"Between Char’s proven success and Sarah’s heart for service, CCV is entering another season of tremendous growth," said CCV President Aaron Baer. "Together, their leadership will help us meet the growing needs before us and advance our mission to make Ohio the best place to live, work, and raise a family by enacting laws that reflect the truth of the Gospel."
Transitioning from her role as the Business Development Director for CCV's marketplace ministry, the Christian Business Partnership, Char will now oversee CCV's strategic development initiatives, donor engagement, and advancement operations across the state. However, Char will continue to help recruit and serve members of the Partnership.
Char's leadership has already played a key role in strengthening relationships and expanding CCV’s impact. During her tenure as Business Development Director, more than 360 Christian businesses joined the Partnership. Prior to joining the team in December 2023, Char spent nearly a decade working in Treasury Management—providing banking products designed to save businesses money while protecting them from fraud, and more than 20 years in sales and business relations, overall.
As Advancement Officer, Sarah will work closely with Char, managing CCV's key relationships and advancement initiatives.
Sarah comes to CCV as an experienced and mission-driven professional with a strong background in relationship-building, strategic planning, and community engagement. Her diverse career has spanned roles in business brokering, real estate, and counseling.
For nearly a decade, Sarah served as a Child and Family Therapist and Supervisor in the community-based counseling sector, working directly with families to bring healing and support. Over the past nine years, she built a career in real estate throughout Central Ohio.
A native of Lexington, Ohio, Sarah earned her degree in Psychology from the University of South Alabama. She later received her Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University. Sarah and her husband, Rick, live in Columbus with their daughter, Sienna, and their three beloved beagles. They attend Lifepoint Church in Westerville, where Sarah serves in the Children’s Ministry. She is also an active board member with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
As Ohio's largest Christian public policy organization, Center for Christian Virtue seeks the good of our neighbors by advocating for public policy that reflects the truth of the Gospel.
