LIVE STREAM: The Future of Ohio with Paul Fitzpatrick
Did you see the incredible list of pro-family, CCV-backed bills the Ohio House of Representatives introduced last week? From the Backpack Bill to protecting women's sports and parental rights, there's a lot to be hopeful for the future of Ohio. But with legislators, actions speak louder than words, especially when the health, safety, and education of children are on the line.
That's why we want to invite you to join us for a special live stream with CCV President Aaron Baer, Policy Director David Mahan, and Communications Director Mike Andrews. We’ll take your questions about these bills and the effort to protect life, family, and freedom in Ohio.
Paul Fitzpatrick, President of 1792 Exchange, will also join to discuss the resources his nonprofit offers to help consumers and businesses navigate cancelation or denial of service due to viewpoint discrimination.
More About The Bills
The Backpack Bill–House Bill 11, sponsored by Reps. Riordan McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) and Marilyn John (R-Shelby), would empower families to choose the educational option that best meets their child’s needs by tying state resources directly to the student so that Ohio funds students and teachers instead of buildings and bureaucrats
The Save Women’s Sports Act–House Bill 6, sponsored by Rep. Jena Powell (R-Arcanum), would preserve the integrity of women’s sports by protecting female athletes from having to compete against biological males who have an unfair physical advantage over them
The Woman’s Right to Know Act–House Bill 15, sponsored by Reps. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) and Beth Lear (R-Galena), would require doctors to inform
women considering abortion of the harms of the procedure before it is performedState School Board Reform–House Bill 12, sponsored by Reps. Don Jones (R-Freeport) and Dave Dobos (R-Columbus), would restructure the State Board of Education to promote greater efficiency in the decision-making processes that affect Ohio families

Note: This article originally included HB8, “The Parents’ Bill of Rights,” in the list of CCV-backed bills. However, later in the review process of the bill’s language, CCV identified some serious concerns with the bill language. CCV is continuing to work with legislators to protect parents’ rights.
