Sitting on $10.5B while kids fail

A Letter from Center for Christian Virtue President Aaron Baer

Friend,

Teachers’ union activists are at it again.

Recently, a union gadfly took to the Columbus Dispatch to attack CCV. He even tried to use Scripture to silence us.

But he ignored the real crisis: Ohio’s kids are suffering in a failing system.

While union leaders fight to protect their monopoly, Ohio school districts are sitting on $10.5 billion in cash. Meanwhile, two out of three Ohio fourth graders can't read. In Columbus City Schools, 77% of eighth graders fail at math.

We refuse to stay silent. Jesus commands us to care for the "least of these." That means fighting for the kids the system has abandoned.

I responded to these attacks in the Dispatch to tell the truth.

Watch this clip from the Free to Learn rally on May 23, 2025, to understand why our nation desperately needs education innovation.

The unions are upset because CCV is growing, and we're rescuing kids from dysfunctional public schools. We won't stop, but we can't do it alone.

Will you stand with us?

Support the mission of CCV.

For our children,
