The Christian Academy in Heath Grows 58% in Second Year
HEATH—Christian Life Center, in partnership with the Ohio Christian Education Network (OCEN) and Center for Christian Virtue (CCV), opened The Christian Academy on Wednesday, September 3, for its second year of operation.
The Christian Academy (TCA) experienced a 58% increase in enrollment this year, following OCEN's assistance in obtaining the school's charter, which enabled families to utilize EdChoice Scholarships. TCA is another example of CCV and OCEN’s innovative school-in-a-church model, a partnership with local churches to expand access to Christian education.
TCA is a biblically based and Christ-centered school that assists parents in educating their children in sound academics and helping them discover the purpose for which God has called them.

Young TCA students gather for morning prayer.
OCEN Executive Director Troy McIntosh opens the day with a speech for TCA students.
The Vision
Through strategic partnerships with local churches, as well as the financial assistance from the EdChoice Voucher Program and the Scholarship Granting Organization tax credit, CCV and OCEN’s school-planting mission is to make this type of high-quality Christian education financially and geographically accessible to every student in Ohio.
For more information on how your church can start a Christian school, contact OCEN Assistant Director David Arrell at davidarrell@ccv.org.

As Ohio's largest Christian public policy organization, Center for Christian Virtue seeks the good of our neighbors by advocating for public policy that reflects the truth of the Gospel.
The Ohio Christian Education Network is a network of more than 200 Catholic and Evangelical schools in Ohio, under Center for Christian Virtue. OCEN protects the religious liberty of Christian schools and ensures every Ohio family has access to a Gospel-centered education. For more information, visit OhioCEN.org.
