The Toledo City Council plans to consider a resolution that would co-opt COVID relief funds to transport women out of the state to have abortions. Sen. Sandra O’Brien this week introduced Senate Bill 386 as the Parental Educational Freedom Act. This bill would greatly expand schooling options by making each student eligible for an EdChoice Scholarship to be used at a private school, or for an increased tax credit for expenses related to homeschooling. The bill serves a similar function to House Bill 290, the Backpack Bill.
