President Donald Trump said Monday that the administration will pay $1 million to people who report voter fraud that leads to convictions. The announcement came one week before polls close in the 2026 midterm elections.

Trump made the announcement on Truth Social. “Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud!” he wrote. “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The offer applies, in Trump’s words, to reports about “past Elections” and the “upcoming 2026 Midterm Election.” The story did not say which part of the administration would handle tips, how claims would be reviewed, or how the reward would be paid after an arrest and conviction.

Election integrity is a national concern because citizens need confidence that lawful votes are protected and fraud is punished. Families, churches, and schools live under the policies chosen through elections. When allegations of fraud arise, they should be handled with evidence, due process, and clear enforcement so the public can trust the result.
