Christians in the Public Square

Christians have the right and the duty to be salt and light in America today. CCV presses that conviction where laws are made, building what works in Ohio, then scaling it to statehouses across the country and equips families and churches to act on it.

Faith & Freedom
The moral claim

Matthew 5:14, ESV:You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Every law makes a moral claim and there is no neutral legislation. Every statute assumes something about what a person is, what a family is, and what a society owes the vulnerable. Christians are not intruding on public policy by showing up, the claims are already being made, with or without us.

CCV shows up where those claims are made.

In CCV’s words

What CCV believes, and what it has done

Followers of Christ are called to be salt and light in every area of society, including government. Faith is a vital force for the common good, not something to hide behind sanctuary doors. We believe God’s word shines light onto every aspect of life and society, and believe Christians are called to engage biblically with every cultural and public policy issue.
