More than conquerors

For those of us who believe in the dignity of every human life, the centrality of marriage and family, and the authority of God's word over all things, the election was a mess. But CCV was built to stand fast in this moment. We are ready to defend our faith, our families, and our freedom in our headquarters directly across the street from the Ohio Statehouse, in the "heart of it all" in America.

A statement from Center for Christian Virtue President Aaron Baer following the 2026 General Election results:

For those of us who believe in the dignity of every human life, the centrality of marriage and family, and the authority of God's word over all things, last night was, to put it simply, a mess.

Elections are about more than personalities and political parties. They are about the decisions made in government that impact real lives. The people who have been placed in power have a vision for our state and nation that will erode the principles that have made America the most prosperous nation in world history.

Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) was built to stand fast in this moment. We are ready to defend our faith, our families, and our freedom in our headquarters directly across the street from the Ohio Statehouse, in the "heart of it all" in America.

This morning, as we do every morning, the CCV team gathered for prayer. We read Romans 8:19-39 (ESV) together, which ends with:

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

In electoral victories and losses, we remain more than conquerors because of the love of Christ. We walk in confidence as we pray for Governor-Elect Amy Acton, Senator-Elect Sherrod Brown, and the many other leaders from both parties elected last night.

Elections come and go, but the word of God never fades nor fails. Onward!
