Pope Leo XIV votes in US election
The Vatican confirmed Pope Leo XIV submitted a mail-in ballot in his native Chicago ahead of tomorrow's midterm elections. The American-born pope requested the ballot on Oct. 3 and has voted when eligible as a US citizen, the Holy See said. His vote marks the first time a pontiff has cast a ballot in a US election, underscoring the duty of citizens to take part in public life.
