BREAKING: Judge extends temporary restraining order against HB68

COLUMBUS – Earlier today, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Holbrook granted the ACLU of Ohio's request to extend the temporary restraining order (TRO) blocking the enactment of the CCV-backed Saving Adolescents From Experimentation (SAFE) Act and the Save Women’s Sports Act, known as HB68.

The original TRO Judge Holbrook granted two weeks ago was set to expire today, but is now extended through Monday, May 20.

The following statement is from Center for Christian Virtue Policy Director David Mahan:

"On the heels of the release of the world's largest review of pediatric gender medicine revealing the danger and ineffectiveness of such procedures, Judge Holbrook once again chooses to regard activism over due process and the safety of children.

"Apparently, Judge Holbrook knows better than the US Supreme Court, which allowed a similar law in Idaho to go into effect earlier this month."

Center for Christian Virtue is grateful to Attorney General Dave Yost for his quick actions to defend and protect Ohio children, and looks forward to the Ohio State Supreme Court overturning the broad and harmful decision from Judge Michael Holbrook.
