WATCH NOW: CCV Testifying to Oppose Gambling Expansion
Get the Scoop
House Bill 298 (HB298), sponsored by State Representatives Brian Stewart (R-Ashville) and Marilyn John (R-Richland County), is scheduled to receive its second hearing and all testimony this morning—Tuesday, June 3—at 10:30 am.
HB298 would expand "iGaming" or online casinos, and Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) in bars and restaurants that look and feel like slot machines. Targeting low-income individuals and young men, this bill would exploit low-income Ohioans and hurt families.
