WATCH TODAY: CCV to Testify on Success Sequence Bill!

Success Sequence Bill

Senate Bill 156 (SB156), sponsored by Senator Al Cutrona (R-Canfield), will receive proponent testimony today, Tuesday, May 6, during the 4:00 pm Senate Education Committee hearing.

CCV Policy Director David Mahan is scheduled to testify in support of SB156.

The Success Sequence, a proven formula to help young adults avoid poverty and achieve the American Dream, is one of the key policy solutions to strengthen Ohio families suggested in Center for Christian Virtue’s Hope and a Future report.

SB156 would require the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to develop standards and model curriculum for teaching the Success Sequence in grades 6 through 12. Under SB156, students would also need to receive Success Sequence instruction in at least one class before they are eligible to graduate high school.
