Democrats were projected to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives, flipping the chamber from Republican control on Election Day.

The projected result came amid a backlash against President Donald Trump and Republicans. Related election-night reporting said Democrats were expected to gain enough seats to take the House, with forecasts clustering around a 15-to-25-seat pickup as of 11:00 pm.

Democrats were also defeating Republicans in key battleground races as the path to House control widened. Control of the House will shape the federal agenda for the next Congress. It affects what legislation can move, how spending fights unfold, and how the administration faces congressional scrutiny.

For Christians, this moment is a vital reminder: our hope is never tied to which party holds power. While shifting political winds change legislative strategies, the mission to bring our faith to the public square does not. Christians must remain steadfast—praying for elected leaders across both parties, holding them accountable to the moral truths that sustain a free society, and fearlessly advocating for policies that honor God and strengthen our families.
