Teaching the Success Sequence

Requires Ohio public schools to teach the three steps research ties to avoiding poverty: finish school, work full time, marry before having children. The Department of Education and Workforce maintains the curricula, and a student must receive the instruction in at least one class before graduating.

As the legislature titles itTo amend sections 3313.537, 4731.156, and 5903.12; to enact sections 3301.0717, 3301.0733, 3313.5321, 3313.6025, 4731.191, and 4732.42; and to repeal section 4731.155 of the Revised Code to ratify the Interstate Compact for School Psychologists, to modify the Interstate Massage Compact (IMpact), to require, instead of permit, continuing education for massage therapists, regarding the success sequence curriculum, to require the Department of Education and Workforce to submit a report regarding a single, statewide hybrid assessment system, and to enact the Student Athlete Mobility (SAM) Act regarding student petitions to participate in extracurricular activities at neighboring public schools.
