Center for Christian Virtue Mourns the Passing of Dr. James Dobson

Dr. James Dobson passed into Glory at age 89.

COLUMBUS–Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) mourns the loss of Dr. James Dobson after he passed into eternal Glory today. We also celebrate that after 89 years of faithful service to the Kingdom of God, Dr. Dobson is face-to-face with our glorious Savior and enjoying His eternal reward.

The founder of Focus on the Family, Family Research Council, and The James Dobson Family Institute, Dr. Dobson was instrumental in forming the Family Policy Council movement, of which CCV is a part of, alongside former CCV Board Chairman and Focus on the Family Vice President Tom Minnery.

Dr. James C. Dobson and his wife, Shirley.

The following statement is from Center for Christian Virtue President Aaron Baer:

“Through his radio ministry and writings, Dr. Dobson’s voice has reached millions of households over the last five decades, and in the process has given strength, encouragement, and inspiration to countless Christians to find their voice in the cultural and political debates of our day.

“Generations of Americans have been blessed by his innovation, fearlessness, and biblical
wisdom.

“CCV is grateful to count itself amongst the many ministries still serving families today that are connected to the network of culture-changing organizations founded or inspired by Dr. Dobson. My wife Maria and I count ourselves amongst the generation encouraged by Doc and Shirley to raise our kids in the joy of the Lord.

“We honor Dr. Dobson’s legacy today by recommitting ourselves to unrelenting advocacy for marriage and family.”
